+Connect Your Garage’s WhatsApp to Garagess
Link the WhatsApp Business number you already use. Messages sent from Garagess and messages sent from your phone stay in one conversation, attached to the job.
What syncs
Every message, on the job it belongs to
- Booking confirmations and appointment reminders, sent automatically
- Customer replies delivered onto the job they belong to
- Messages sent from the garage’s own phone, shown in the same thread
- Delivered and read receipts, so you know the message landed
- Contact names from your phone’s address book, so threads are not just numbers
- Meta’s charge for each message, shown per message and totalled for the month
Benefits
Why garages use the WhatsApp integration
Keep Your Own Number
You connect the WhatsApp Business number your customers already have. Nothing to reprint, nothing to announce.
Phone and Office in Step
Send from the workshop phone or the office computer — both appear in one conversation, with the job attached.
You See the Cost
Meta charges a few pence for automated messages. Garagess shows what each one cost and warns you as your monthly figure gets close.
FAQ
Common questions about the WhatsApp integration
- Does Garagess integrate with WhatsApp?
- Yes. Garagess connects through the official WhatsApp Business Platform from Meta — not a browser plugin or a workaround that breaks when WhatsApp updates. You connect your account from Settings, and messages start flowing onto your jobs straight away.
- How do I connect it?
- From Settings → WhatsApp you sign in with the Meta account that owns your WhatsApp Business number and pick the number you want to use. It takes a few minutes. Meta reviews the wording of your automatic messages before they can be sent, which usually comes back within the hour.
- Can I still use WhatsApp on my phone afterwards?
- Yes, and most garages do. Your number stays live in the WhatsApp Business app exactly as it is now. Anything sent from the phone shows up in Garagess against the job as well, so the office is never out of the loop.
- What does it cost?
- Garagess does not charge per message. Meta charges for messages your garage starts — a few pence each in the UK — and charges nothing for messages a customer starts or for anything you reply within 24 hours of hearing from them. Two automatic messages per booking works out at a few pence a job. You can set a monthly figure and Garagess will warn you as you approach it rather than cutting messages off.
- Do my messages have to be approved by Meta?
- Only the automatic ones. Booking confirmations, reminders and any wording you write yourself are reviewed by Meta before first use, because they go out to customers who have not messaged you first. Anything you type into a live conversation sends immediately with no review.
